We're not exactly interested in restaurant reviews per se, since it's all very subjective and also quite 'hit and miss'. However, we do frequent more than our fair share of local eateries and we do occasionally like to post comments on our dining experiences.
Our point of reference for commenting on other people's food is that the blog Editor has some experience owning a food establishment, is an accomplished cook, and has eaten in some truly excellent restaurants around the world. He knows when something is crap and something is good, so watch out.
Let's be honest, dining in Door County is altogether a hit and miss experience. Personally, I don't think all of the restaurants in the area cut the cloth when it comes to dishing up good quality, consistent food. I think in some cases there's an attitude of 'well, we're going to be busy regardless of our food quality, so lets just serve up some cheap gruel and make the most money we can from it'.
If you think your food establishment is different in this regard, or you frequent a local bar/tavern or restaurant and you feel they offer better than average food, let us know and we'll swing by and take a gander. But lets be clear, if we decide to comment, our observations will be posted without regard to anyone's feelings. If you're of a sensitive disposition, better that you don't ask us round!
